  1. I have to say that I concur with this completely. I kinda church hop now. I was raised Catholic, attended a Presbyterian church in college and now occasionally attend a Methodist church. The best part of religion I think is the fellowship and inspiration to do better.

  2. stapledanno says:

Raised a Luthern, I was told (to quote Sarah Silverman) that “Jesus is Magic” but all the comics and movies I read and watch are Hollywood hooey and to understand the difference.
Well…that understanding never formed since hooey is hooey is hooey.

Who needs religion when modern society has things like this:

    http://www.americanhumanist.org/index.html

that do all the “work” of religion ideals, with none of the magic or ritual killing to get people to believe what you do.

  3. I’m not a big fan of religion. That’s pretty much all I have to say.

  4. Ryan Dow says:

As you can see from the comic, I have mixed feelings about religion, which is frustrating. I can understand why people are turned off by it (I’ve gone through a bitter atheist phase myself, in some ways I’m still stuck there), but at the same time I’ve seen some positive stuff come out of it. I’ve also seem some horrible, ugly stuff come out of it.

I took a “What Religion Are You?” quiz a while back, and it said I was a Secular Humanist. Sounds interesting. I’m sure there will be some things I like and some things I don’t.
