I will be at the Red Hot Art Festival this Saturday and Sunday! It’s a combination of an art festival and a live music show. I will be there with Chris Lyons selling stuff at booth #10. See you there!
Also, because of the festival, I might not make it to the Lutefisk Sushi Potluck.
But you should go there if you’re a part of the show!
It’s going to be a busy summer. Heck, it’s already a busy summer. Here’s a list of upcoming events:

Zinefest – July 10
http://zinefest.org/
Zinefest is small show dedicated to zines and mini-comics. You will find things there that you can’t find anywhere else. I will have a table there, so stop by and say, “Hi!”

Lutefisk Sushi D – Opening Reception – August 6
http://www.cartoonistconspiracy.com/sushi/
What is Lutefisk Sushi? It is a box of mini-comics and a gallery show. The gallery show will display original art from the mini-comics, including some art by me. The opening reception is the best part of Lutefisk Sushi, so be there if you can.

Minnepolis Indie Xpo – August 21
http://mplsindiexpo.com/
This should be interesting. It’s the first all-independent comic show in Minneapolis. It’s aim is to be an SPX for the midwest. The guest list is impressive. It will be an awesome show.
That’s not even covering SPX, but that’s more of an autumn show.
I’ve got a lot of news to cover and a busy week ahead, so I’ll get right to it.
THE BOOKS ARE IN!

That’s right! I finally have copies of The Art of Failing Buddhism available. Pre-Ordered books in the US have already been sent out, and International Pre-Orders will be sent out on Monday. The books took longer to print than I expected due to a technical issue with the first print run. They also feature an awesome introduction by Eric M Esquivel of Modern Mythology Press. Thanks to everyone who has been patiently waiting for the book to come out!
SPRINGCON IS NEXT WEEKEND!

I will have a table at SpringCon this year! If you’re in the Minneapolis area next weekend, be sure to stop by!
LUTEFISK SUSHI!

In addition to making comics for this site, I have been whittling away at a new mini-comic for Lutefisk Sushi. Lutefisk Sushi is many things. It’s a box full of mini-comics. It’s a gallery show. It’s an event. I want to be a part of that. I will be making a mini called Freshman Girls, a story too embarrassing to put on the Internet!
That’s about all. Now I need to get back to work!
Last night I was drawing caricatures with other members of the Cartoonist Conspiracy for Altered Esthetics. Here are some wonderful caricatures that people drew of me.
First up is one from Dan Murphy, who is really good with a brush (or brush pen):

I can’t tell if Dan Olson was drawing me as furious, constipated, or furiously constipated.

The following two caricatures are by Kevin Cannon, who is amazing.

Thanks guys!
