Last night I went to a comics jam with the International Cartoonist Conspiracy.  After the Jam we went to a bar where six talented artists contributed to a jam comic dedicated to me.  Those artists were:

Generally, we draw collaborative “jam” comics, socialize and drink caffeinated beverages. Afterwords, we often have uncaffeinated beverages somewhere else.

The meetings are open to anyone who wants to draw with us, and the results are posted here sooner or later (and sometimes even printed).

Thankfully this doesn’t describe every Con I’ve been to.  Just most of them.

This comic is a 360 degree turn from what I planned to post.  I wanted to address why my comics have been more comical than introspective lately.

I’ve been through this scenerio about seven or eight times since I’ve moved to the Twin Cities.  I’ll be out on a nice walk, a mile or two away from home, and torrents of rain will come down from the sky.  Walking home through the rain can be fun in a childish way, at least until the rain seeps into your socks.  Then it’s no longer fun.

I once told a coworker how a rainstorm came out of nowhere.  The coworker said, “What are you talking about?  It was all over the weather forecast.”  This is my failure as an adult.

Drawing for kids is tough.

The funny thing is that this kid doesn’t look anything like he does in the cartoon.

I am really exhausted from the ride back from Kids Read Comics.  One of these days I might recover.  The trip was still worth it.

My memory must be starting to go.

Not that it would have mattered.
