My partner and I both deal with mental health issues too – in my case, bipolar, and in hers BPD. We work great together, and are always looking out for one another

Judging by the people I know with clinical depression, this is a surprisingly (and sadly) common thing to happen, and of course a lot of it is because the insurance system is screwed up in ways that happen to work VERY BADLY for the people who are most likely to not be capable of proactively preventing these screw-ups. Like people with sevvere anxiety disorder and clinical depression.

It’s also ridiculous how much of it comes down to the way that the specific doses are being packaged, which has a lot to do with pharmaceutical companies trying to make a claim that 150mg is a different formulation than 2x75mg. Or sometimes the prescription version will be EXACTLY THE SAME as the OTC version but cost about 20x as much (Zegerid is a good example of this – when I need Zegerid I just go with the OTC version because the retail price is lower than my copay on the prescription anyway).
