It’s good to have a mental health buddy in your life.

This isn’t a comprehensive list of all the reasons I hate to ask questions.  It should be enough, though, to illustrate the kinds of issues with social anxiety I have been working on.

Why?  I’m going to be covering that in the next comic.

Okay, a lot has changed since I was inking this comic.  I was able to get a small amount of my medication until things clear up with my insurance.  I will get into why this is my fault eventually.  Right now, I’m back on my meds and am feeling a lot better.

Due to issues including illness, Writer’s Block, social obligations, and panic attacks, I haven’t had much time to work on my comics.  Comics will resume on Sunday.

I didn’t physically throw the list away because it didn’t physically exist.  It only existed in my head, and it would not stop growing.  If your happiness list doesn’t make you happy, there is no use in having a happiness list.

My dad does something similar whenever we play cards.  When he’s losing, he says, “I don’t know if I like this game.”  Whenever he’s winning, he says, “I think I like this game!”  This is how I am when tabling at comic book conventions.

Also, to be fair, the Tick costume was pretty nice.

As I mentioned in the last comic, I went to C2E2 in Chicago last weekend.  I took a bus into the city, which meant I had to learn the best way to navigate from the convention center to my hotel in the suburbs.  Through a combination of cabs, subways, buses, and airport shuttles, I finally settled on a method that wasn’t outrageously expensive, but the commute took over two hours and exposed me to a rather… inelegant side of Chicago.  To help pass the time and make the trip more bearable, I played a game where I pretended I was Indiana Jones on a dangerous adventure.

And yes, it did take me a long time to realize that the Blue Line was a subway and not a bus.

I used to think there was no excuse for ignorance.  Now, with the amount of data available at my fingertips, I don’t know how to stay sane without being somewhat ignorant.
