Mr. Clucky - pt 1

Mr. Clucky – pt 1

I’m taking a bit of a hiatus to get ready for convention season.  In the meantime, I’ll be running an old story I drew in 2008.  The story was for Super Fantastica Comix, an anthology put together by my friend Dan Olson.  The theme was “fowl or foul”.  I had wanted to draw a farm story for some time, so I chose fowl.  More on that as the story progresses.

I love how you drew the girl. It, to me, is very difficult to draw certain ages of children and I commend you on a job well done.

    I loved this story Ryan.

I have to admit, this is one story where I look back and still think think it’s pretty good.

As for drawing children, I think the hardest part is getting a little variety. I have to fight the tendency to give all kids the same head-shape (the squat oval you see in the comic). I’m trying to work out a few more varied designs for the next Jack and Zack comic.
