SPACE, one of the comic conventions I attended last year, decided to offer a webcomic prize in addition to their usual book and minicomic prizes. I entered, figuring, What the heck? It’s not like I’m going to win the thing. A few months later I saw the finalists and said, Well, there’s no way I’m winning this thing.” The Book of Biff is better than my comic in every conceivable way. It’s better drawn, better colored, and funny five days a week. He’s got this in the bag.
Then I find out this week that I won the SPACE prize. There’s even an article in The Beat about it. I’m still kind of flabbergasted.
