My Legacy

My Legacy

That value has been adjusted for inflation, of course.

I had the idea for this comic a while back after calling in on a comics podcast called Art and Story Alive! If you haven’t heard of the Art and Story podcast, go to artandstorypodcast.com immediately and check it out.  It’s one of the best podcasts on comic creation out there.

The topic of the episode I called in on was legacies, specifically what kind of artistic legacy we want to leave behind.  I started to daydream about a future where today’s disposable, undervalued mini-comics were tomorrow’s treasured antiques.  I told some cartoonist friends about the idea, which led to the jam comic Futuristic Antique Roadshow (NSFW).

By the way, you can purchase this comic at my new online store.

I know. I keep stealing ideas from myself.

I’d love for allour silly little mini-comics to be worth money one day, but I know I’ll just end up burning all of mine for heat when I’m old and we’re out of gas.

  4. Ryan Dow says:

Well, maybe they’ll be worth money as a precious, non-renewable resource, like oil.

  5. Ryan Dow says:

    That’s awesome.
