Not a Real Buddha

Not a Real Buddha

One of the common misconceptions about L’il Buddha is that he is *the* Buddha.  It’s probably a distinction that only matters to me.  Originally. he was a manifestation of my latent Buddha nature (as established in this comic).  Now I think of him more as a figment of my imagination, as a distorted representation of the values I wish I had.  He’s not a fully realized Buddha yet, which gives him something to aspire to.

  1. To be fair, not even the “real” Buddha(s) thought (t)he(y) was (were) all that special. You and Lil’ Buddha are in good company.

  2. L’il Buddha looks so sad! Now I’m depressed. Thanks Ryan….
