I think aversion to the word “cute” is more of a guy thing. It probably comes from some repressed resentment towards our mothers or something. I haven’t know any women who would wince at the word “cute”.
Okay, I was concerned about using the word cute, but thought it was appropriate for this comic. It was the princess kisses a frog story, but fashioned a bit differently. It reminded me of grade school, which I think warranted the word cute. David, your stuff is cute too!

When someone calls my work “Cute,” (hey, it’s happened) I wince a little and then think, I was trying for “Funny” . . . but “Cute” isn’t bad.
