Nah, kittens and teddy bears are too boring! It’s tense story lines like this that can keep a reader riveted.

  2. Ryan Dow says:

This makes me want to do a tense and riveting story about teddy bears and kittens.

  3. Loops says:

I can think of a few tense and riveting Care Bears episodes!

    Okay, that was a lie.

  4. Kat says:

Considering how the comic began, I’m surprised by the complexity of the relationship between the main character (you) and Carl. It must take some balls to willingly reveal so much.

  5. Ryan Dow says:

I don’t know if its balls or general foolhardiness. Either way, I’ll have to state that this story isn’t a pure autobiography. Telling this story exactly as it happened, without changing names or events, would really take balls.

  6. sonicsuns says:

I like the second panel: “I was miserable” followed by a picture of Ryan smiling. It encapsulates how he hides his true self.

  7. Ryan Dow says:

    Yeah, I do that sometimes.
