It’s really annoying when some people can’t turn off their “selective hearing mode”. Ryan just needs to tell Carl “happy trails!” and be done with him.
Man, I feel like I’m trying to walk a tight rope between making Carl a sympathetic but irritating protagonist and an irredeemable jerk. I think at this point I’ve veered off into irredeemable jerk territory.
