  1. McCarthy says:

Before he blows up on the next page, I hope Ryan remembers the lesson of Amazarasti-no Hotoke. And then blows up anyway.

  2. Happy birthday Weekends with Carl! Have you contracted Michael Bay to help with the special effects when Ryan blows up?

  3. Loops says:

Gotta love that. Congratulations on being confrontational! But you’re totally doing it wrong!

  4. Ryan Dow says:

Sorry its taken me so long to respond, guys. I’ve been really busy with work and prepping for Fallcon.

McCarthy – That reminds me of a story I heard once about a female Buddhist nun who was frequently harassed by a merchant when she came into town. One day she got so angry she chased after the guy swinging her umbrella. She chased him all across town until they both ran past her Zen teacher. When she saw her teacher she stopped immediately and apologized several times. The teacher accepted the woman’s apology and instructed her to that should this situation come up again, she should focus on having compassion for all beings, and then hit this guy as hard as she can with her umbrella.

I’ve only heard the story once, so I’m probably butchering it.

To Dan – The contract with Michael Bay fell through. You’ll have to use your imagination.

To Loops – I had to read your comment a few times before I understood what you meant. I thought you were telling me that I being confrontational wrong.

  5. Addy says:

Classic bully behavior from Carl- it’s always the other person’s fault.

  6. sonicsuns says:

It’s hard to read Carl at this point. At first he seemed ignorant and pushy, and then he seemed to take on a Secret Mentor sort of role, praising Ryan for standing up for himself and pointing out how Ryan represses his feelings. But maybe he’s just shifting the blame, like Addy said.

  7. Ryan Dow says:

    Yeah, it’s confusing.
