  1. I really like the panel where you look down at the spaghetti. Also, I am diggin the shading on the socks….subtle.

  2. Jon Sloan says:

I think you hit on the head something that a lot of people have asked themselves at one point in time or another. If I let everyone else define who I was, especially when I was younger, I never would have had the courage to start my own book, or even to begin studying martial arts.

  3. McCarthy says:

I’ll admit, I’m disappointed to learn that Carl isn’t a very good cook.

  4. Eric says:

That is one hell of a closing line on this comic. That will echo beyond the confines of the panel border.

  5. Ryan Dow says:

To Dan – Thanks! Panel 4 was my attempt at a Cris Ware panel.

To Jon – Glad to hear you say that. I was a little worried that the line would seem to come out of nowhere since we haven’t seen the character get pushed around that much.

To McCarthy – Actually Carl is a good cook. He just tends to favor dishes that aren’t all that spicy, where I prefer dishes with lots of peppers and garlic. My grandmother is also a great cook who doesn’t like to spice her dishes up all that much.

To Stwally – Thanks as always for the links!

  6. Ryan Dow says:

    To Eric – Hey thanks!

  7. Bud Burgy says:

Im gonna have to say i’m partial to the ‘staring at the ball of meat panel’, with Carl munching away off to the side. Love it.

  8. Catmi says:

I’m a vegetarian, and have been since birth. I keep it up because, i think killing animals is wrong. they have as much right to life as we have!!!
