Ryan, your sense of timing is excellent. I’m really enjoying this storyline… I look forward to reading the whole thing collected when you complete it.

First off, this is hilarious.
Second, I really like the understated artwork in the first 3 panels, especially the way the background shading seesaws up and down. Good visual echo of your mental state going from quizzical to relieved to uncertain.

Thanks Steve!
To Loops - I got the idea about the background shading from reading a tutorial on nemu nemu (http://www.nemu-nemu.com/2008/07/26/tutorials_the_process_2008.php). In it the creator talked about using shadows and vague shapes to guide the reader’s eye. It’s a really cool idea that I want to experiment more with in the future.

Interesting how Carl goes from talking about how Ryan is hunched, implying that he wants to rub his shoulders/back, and now it’s his feet…..things that make ya go hmmmmmm.
I agree with what Loops said, the background changes do match the mood very well.

Doe spanel one imply Ryan would like to get stoned with Carl or that he thinks Carl wants to get Ryan stoned?
Personally, I think ryan is hiding a very sizable bong collection from us all.

I agree with Danno. Perhaps minors should hit YOU up for drugs.

You can’t pass up a good old-fashioned foot massage. You’d have to be out of your mind.
