Ah, the healing power of Star Wars. I’m not going to pretend that Episode III was a good movie, but you have to admit, that opening will get you smiling.

Also, I’m working on a secret project that I’m really excited about. Come to the main site (http://www.introspectivecomics.com) next Thursday for a surprise.

UPDATE: The surprise is that I’ve added an extra comic strip to my news feed. If you can’t see it, it’s most likely because you are not at the main page, http://www.introspectivecomics.com.

  1. Secret project? Intriguing! How secret is this secret projcet? Is this something that NOBODY knows about??? Well, except for you of course.

  2. Ryan Dow says:

It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to pull it off until last week. So I may have been talking about it inadvertently.

  3. Jon Sloan says:

I may have to debate you on Episode III not being that great a movie……true, it wasn’t THE BEST of the saga, but it was a damn sight better than the previous two. True about the opening credits being able to wash your cares away. I’ve seen the opening crawls too many times to admit, and there’s always that feeling of awe/wonder/excitement that gets stirred up.

Glad to see that Carl was able to enjoy himself, and didn’t let the confrontation spoil his fun. Now perhaps Rick can be convinced that the M.I.A. isn’t “gay” (as he put it) at all. Maybe the Institute needs an opening theme for visitors when they walk in the main doors.:)

hehe, good to see him smile again!

Tho I’m really not into Star Wars (omg, Ep. I-III are just crappy!!!), the intro is just cult.
    Especially along with the soundtrack!

    Ha, short comment today :]
I’m lookin’ forward to your surprise! :x

  5. Ryan Dow says:

I think I’m one of the few people who liked Episode I best, mainly because I liked the variety of worlds it introduced. Although I will admit, Episode III was a lot more intense. Take my opinions with a grain of salt, though. I was one of the three people in the world who thought Jar Jar Binks was kind of amusing.

Yes, I liked Jar Jar Binks when I saw the first movie. I have now lost all of my geek street cred.

  6. Rob says:

I’m with you Ryan. The first one (even with it’s inherent flaws) is still my favorite overall of the prequels. While the final battle in EP 3 along with the “Order 66″ montage is badass, it wasn’t as entertaining for me in the long run. Especially with *SPOILER ALERT =)* Padme dying of sadness. That’s just fucking ridiculous.

  7. The healing power of “Star Wars”. . . nice.

  8. budburgy says:

ill admit, I was really hoping to catch a glimpse of a young Han Solo running around, if even for a split second. I was extremely disappointed.

And, I have to say, I didnt like part 1. Not cause of Jar Jar, but because everything had a sleek clean modern look, even though its supposed to be the oldest?!

As the episodes increase, everything gets junkier. Thats when Lucas established the best look.

  9. Stephan Th. says:

omg… You totally lost all of your cred! xD
Jar Jar Binks, omg xD ^^

  10. Shelbs says:

The guy sitting behind Carl in panels 2 and 4 look like a freind of mine but without the glasses. Strange, he also likes Star Wars and we’re only about a state or two away from Minnesota. (laugh)

  11. Ryan Dow says:

Actually, he’s based on a local cartoonist, Danno Klonowski. You can find more of his stuff at http://www.comicspace.com/staplegenius/
